my phone insists that there's a "carrier update" and I need to update the Verizon software. is this for real??
I thought "carrier update" was a common thing on iPhones. Android don't get this incremental updating to work on Verizon.

1st message was about a month ago. my iPhone 5c is using ios 8.1 and Verizon 18.0.
