AppleCare+ replacement of "Free" iPhone under device payment credits

Hi:  I currently have an iPhone 14 Plus that was part of the holiday promo - free with the caveat of 36 monthly credits to the account.  The  iPhone has AppleCare+ and the front screen was recently damaged (crack originating from the dynamic island).   In the event that the iPhone needs to get replaced if the screen couldn't get repaired, would there be any issues transferring the phone number over to the new phone?  Do I need to inform Verizon in any way of the change in serial number?  I expect that Apple would transfer over the cellular information from the old iPhone to the replacement and activate it accordingly.

Good morning! It's great to hear that you had insurance on your phone! There won't be any issues if Apple ends up replacing the device. They'll be able to send us the info, and in case of any issues, please let us know and we can take care of anything that comes up.
