Global Data Plan not working in Germany

Dear Customer Service,

Right now, I am in The Netherlands, and will be in Germany next week. I purchased the international data plan for both countries, but I can only access the internet on WiFi. I too have an iPhone 4 model MC676LL. Will this phone indeed not work on the Verizon network over here? If this is the case, I will need to cancel the Global plan.
