I’ve been using the message+ app for a while now, but about a month ago, I believe after an app update, I was logged out. I still continue to receive push notifications to my phone of all of the sms messages, but can’t open the app to view them.
Recently I deleted the app completely and reinstalled to try to login again, but keep receiving the message “not able to generate pin. Please try again later sometime.”
I also have message+ on my iPad which is still logged in and seems to be working fine, minus the calling function. I deleted the iPhone profile from message+ via the iPad just in case that was the issue, but still no luck.

Sent a PM back when this reply was posted and still have not heard anything back. So as of today the app still does not work on my iPhone.
There was an app update on August 20th and now I receive a new error message:
Could not connect to server. Please try again later.
App is still working fine on my iPad, but pretty inconvenient because I am not walking around with my iPad in my pocket.

I have the same issue. My IPad doesn't have a cellular chip so no line of it's own. Trying to use my IPhone's line. It used to work fine. Any solutions?

We would love to see you be able to use the Message+ feature on your tablet. Have you tried removing and reinstalling the app on the tablet? Is "Integrated Messaging " enabled on your Smartphone under the Message+ settings? -Yale

Very annoying that Message+ won't set up on my Fire tablet. After installation I see "Generating Code" that never completes. Sometimes I can launch it via the web app on the Fire, same as on my windows laptop...hit or miss. Works fine on my Moto Z3 phone. Why can't Verizon correct this? Uninstall/reinstall doesn't help.

Hello there! We're sorry about the trouble. When you set up the app in the tablet, does it let you sync with the phone? https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-231252/

I have the same issue with my Fire HD 8. Message+ hangs at "Generating code". Fire running OS 7.3.2.6. Works fine on my Samsung Galaxy S20FE and my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. What's the secret to get Message+ working in a Fire?

We're sorry to hear you're not able to use Message+ on your Fire HD8, Pops50. Let's take a closer look into this. Are you connected to a cellular network or Wi-Fi when attempting to get the code? Is your device software up to date? -Danielle

Hi, Thanks for the quick response. Fire tablet is WiFi only. Installed Message+ on it this morning. OS is up to date. As for the S20FE, it as both WiFi and cell. And Message+ version 8.3.6.

Hello, Pops50. Happy Holidays. You did mention you have a Fire Tablet. Verizon Messages are compatible with certain devices. You can view the FAQ here https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-messages-faqs/

Hi, Fire is not mentioned on the web page. So I assume they are not supported. That is unfortunate. Fire tablets are everywhere and Verizon is missing out.

As long as the application is shown and able to be downloaded, the device is compatible. I appreciate the insight about the code generation and have submitted feedback regarding this as well.

Similar issue with my iPad. I had to restore from a backup last week. I think Message+ worked for the first few days, but now when when I open it, I get the Get Started screen. I put in my cell phone number and hit Send Code, and get the "Error, Not able to generate Pin Please try again later some time" message.
I've tried uninstalling the app, rebooting the iPad, and reinstalling. Same result. Running on iOS 16.6
Please help!

Not sure. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled it, so no way to know if it had updated prior to that. But as of now it should be the latest version of the app and the latest iOS version.

Thanks for that information, traveldave. Is the Message+ app working without an issue on your cell phone? Are there any app updates available on your phone?

Version 9.4.1 on my Android phone.
Noted that in the Apple App store, the second review is someone with the same issue. Been using the app for several years on Samsung phones and Apple iPad with no issues. Maybe an issue with the latest version of iOS? I feel like that updated recently.

I appreciate you for checking for updates. Is your iPad connected to WiFi or cellular when attempting to set up Messages+? Does it help to swap?
