Poor cell service kissimmee

Late summer 2023, quantum fiber completed their installation of lines in our neighborhood, I quickly noticed a decrease in cell service in and outside of our home. I have always used LTE and had a strong 4 bars of service, but after the quantum install, I no longer have 4 bars, normally 2 and now I have to be using Wi-Fi if I want to have any kind of speed with my iPhone. I have never had to use Wi-Fi at home, I called Verizon and they of course said we donโ€™t see any outages in our area. I find that funny because I have never had any issues before they installed quantum. If I drive a couple miles away from home, I have a strong 4 bars and LTE. Verizon even suggested a Wi-Fi extender, why would I need that, I never had to even use Wi-Fi prior to the neighborhood quantum install. I have not changed any equipment inside my home. Verizon needs to acknowledge there is a connectivity/compatibility issue between them and quantum fiber.

Hello, being on top of your account is crucial, especially if you are encountering poor service. Verizon is here to help.

What exactly happens when you attempt to use your service (call, text, data)? Who else is experiencing this problem? Aside from the quantum fiber installation, any other changes?

My wife and I are the only ones living in the house, we are both experiencing the same issues. If we turn Wi-Fi off, and only have two bars of service, we can make calls and send text messages, but data loads  are very slow. We would have to turn on Wi-Fi to increase for data. Nothing else has changed inside the home.

I don't think the Quantum fiber installation has anything to do with Verizon's service; it is more likely that there are simply more users on the Verizon towers now because there are so many different devices using wireless technology these days and it is all bogging down the system.  Not only does excess traffic cause towers to output less signal overall to each connected device, but it makes the data speed slow down.

Thank you, I appreciate your reply. I did consider that, but it was not a gradual thing like you would expect from more users on the net work and towers. It happened fairly quick, they had all the new quantum lines installed around our house in just a few days, and during that time we noticed a big decrease in signal strength, and thatโ€™s when we had to turn on Wi-Fi. And itโ€™s been that way ever since, if I turn off Wi-Fi, I only have two bars of signal strength, and it will impact my phone, especially when it comes to data, emails, etc.

We want to make sure you get the help you need with your service, and we're sorry for the issues you're having after the install of those Quantum fiber lines. How far do you need to travel outside of your home before you notice any improvements in your service? Would you be able to provide us with a ZIP Code so we can better review the area?

Thank you for sharing your zipcode with us. I took at a look for any known issues in the area and I am not seeing anything reported. How far away from your home must you travel before service improves?
