Texting & Phone Calls to/from iPad Mini

Good afternoon.

I have four devices on my account which all have phone numbers associated with them. I am trying to text and/or make phone calls to/from my iPad Mini ($10 - Unlimited plan).

I have two Samsung S23 Ultra's that are on the same account which we use as our daily devices.

Is this not an available option?

Great question, ChuckIn85085! I, like yourself, have tried to make the iPad Mini a device to use for calls and texts and to make my new phone because of the big screen. Sadly, there are blocks in place that prevent this device from receiving calls. It can send and receive messages through iMessage, but you need an iPhone to sync with in order to do that. ~Peter

I use the iPad Mini on the window of the cockpit when flying, and it would be a lot easier to text and/or call from that device, rather than grab my Samsung out of my pocket.
