Trade in value issue

Hello - I admittedly sent in my phones late, but the amounts offered are exremely low, and now they are being adjusted again and claiming my phone screen was cracked and non responsive.   They were sent in the packaging received from the Verizon store and there was no damages.  This is ridiculous, I want the proof of damage or the phone back, as I can sell it to get more money - notw my bill is astronomical and I am on the verge to cancel my service.
