Verizon trade in …UPS issue!!!

Judging by reading the comments on the Verizon community board, this apparently is not the first time this happened.

I sent my iPhone 14 Pro Max through UPS on November 28th, 2023 with the box and shipping label Verizon provided me. The tracking number and receipt are attached as proof below.


I then called Verizon on December 8th, 2023 to speak to a service representative because I received an email stating my device had still not been received. I checked the few min number and it says it was delivered to the inside dock. 

After explaining the situation, the representative assured me he would note on my account the issue so it was flagged in case it were to state I did not return the device.

Long and behold, I check my account today and see a charge for the remaining balance of the phone! This is beyond ridiculous as I did my due diligence in making sure the iPhone was returned in a timely manner to gain credit for the trade in promo.

I need to speak to someone immediately to get this resolved! I do not think it is fair that customers are being charged for iPhones they made sure to return in good condition. This is now the second time this happened to me and I was assured when it happened the first time, something like this would NOT happen again. I have tried calling and reaching out to Verizon with absolutely no help.

I will never trade in another phone though Verizon or UPS! This is beyond ridiculous that this has happened to so many people! And that it continues to keep happening 

What have you guys done and been successful in with getting your credits back? I refuse to pay over $700 for a phone I made sure to return in time only for UPS to mess it up.

I also returned a phone and have attempted several times to connect with customer service, but just keep getting sent in other directions!!!    My account is not shut down as of today and nobody can help me!!!  I started a message in this forum and had 4 different people respond acting like they were helping, but just sent me elsewhere.   I am going insane over this!
