Hello!
I had my iPhone 4S replaced yesterday, and since the new one was activated I have not been able to activate iMessage or FaceTime. It is worth noting that my old phone, as well as my iPod Touch and Macbook are all connected to iMessage on the same iCloud account with no issues. I've spoken to Apple twice since last night and their last idea is for me to ask Verizon if I have any restrictions or other roadblocks preventing this authorization. Naturally, Verizon tech support is all tied up, so I thought I might post the issue here and see what you folks have to say. Thanks for your time and help!

Hey there Nivramrolyat,
I'm sorry for the issues that you are having with iMessage. Let's keep those messages flowing. iMessages are not sent over the Verizon Wireless network so there would be nothing blocking it on our end. Try turning iMessage off and back on,http://vz.to/1kD80yr. Also try resetting your network settings and test again,http://vz.to/IwrRDx.
Keep us updated with results.

The older iPhone has to be totally removed from Apples servers. When you hook the new iPhone up to register it on iTunes to your account you must also remove the older device from iTunes as well. You must also reset the older iPhone back to factory settings. I never put my iphones back in the box without a total reset when I buy a replacement.
Same would hold true if verizon wireless replaces your device. Don't give it back to verizon without deactivating the device first.
Good Luck
