I am already involved in this device replacement program, but I have some questions about the requirements for when you send it in. First, when it says to remove all accessories, does this include a screen protector attached to the device? If so, how will I be able to remove it. Secondly, it requires that you "turn off find my iPhone". I had some issues with this because I could not log into my Apple ID account. This was because I had two-factor authentication enabled, and the only way I could log in was by receiving a code by text, but the phone number I used was for my own phone which is my device that is not working. I ended up being able to remove my device from my Apple ID account by using the Find my iPhone application on another Apple device, but I could not erase the device. How do I know if I have turned off find my iPhone and if it is okay for me to send the nonworking iPhone back as it is?
Is this a warranty replacement?
Is the screen non-functional?
Yes, it is a warranty replacement and the device isn't able to turn on, so I can not complete anything through the phone.
I would have the same concerns meaganmiller_, we want to be sure you have all the important details. If you can remove the screen protector, you may. You don't have to however. Here is the link that will help you remove your device from Find My iPhone: http://spr.ly/6588Dwxg8 If you scroll down, you will find the option for: Remove an iOS device, Apple Watch, or Mac you no longer have. I hope this provide clarity.

I have removed my phone from my Apple ID, but do I need to erase the decice? I am not able to erase it.
If it won't power on to erase it you will be fine. Apple will erase via the repair progress or whatever they put it through. Sounds like you did your due diligence to me.
