Heads up to anyone activating new service. You probably got some flyer in the mail offerring $350 gift card and free activation. So I started my order process online. I have a tivo so when making my order I came to some issue with ordering cable cards, it wouldn't add just one cable card. I called in to customer service to complete me order (which she got all wrong but they made up for it by upgrade my tv package for 1 year). Long story short is the customer service rep didn't note that I tried making an online order. When you call in Verizon charges you 69.99 for activation even though the flyer said free activation. Not once during the call did the customer service rep tell me of the charges and I even asked if there would be any charges. I am very disappointed with this customer service when it comes to bogus charges which they would not waive. Customer service gave me this attitude that I was trying to get more money out of them or I lied about having issues placing the order. I was told there was no note of me trying to complete an online order (which I"m guessing the CS rep never made note of). Just be aware of this practice.
