I was charged over 700 for equipment I returned

I need someone from Verizon to help me out I do not want to settle with the collections agency because I returned that equipment when I moved from Holly Hill Rd, Richmond VA. I refuse to pay for what I do not have. What use do I have for the equipment? Someone didn’t do there job to update the system because I do not have it. If I owe a bill go my service I am willing to pay for that except the equipment. How can I get help on this?
