One of my many questions is the cost of all of the extrtas. I have one DVR, one HD box (non DVR) and one Cable Card. My first bill shows:
7/22 8/21 (Rent): 2 TV Equipment Package 19.987/22 8/21 DVR Service 11.007/22 8/21 (Rent): Cable Card 4.997/22 8/21 (Rent): Wireless Router 4.99I understand the Cable card and the router costs, but is that correct that I am paying $30.98 for a DVR and non DVR HD box? That is just nuts if that is correct. This is my first bill and it's over $200 for less channels than I had with Comcast for $144
Each box is $8.99 and the DVR service is $11 that is the correct bill. You can buy the router and get rid of the $4.99 per month charge.

The service is billed in two ways. The number of cable boxes you have and the recording package you want. So you have 2 cable boxes as indicated in the first line. The second line is the recording feature. You have the dvr feature. Only one of you boxes can view recordings. For 1 dollar you could have multiroom dvr. If you have Quantum TV the second line makes more since, because there are two more recording feature options (enhanced and premium). The price increases by 10 bucks for each level you go up.
5 bucks is a lot to rent a router. They were selling a gen 3 for $80 or on ebay for less.

Ok, thanks. I'll be calling to dump the DVR. It's just not worth the additional $11. I will also look into buying the router. I know I saw a link somewhere where they were selling for $79. I just wish there was a better router that could be used. The wifi speeds with this one are just awful
