I'm able to pay my utilities by replying to a text message with a single word.
They text when it is due and it says "reply with 'xxx' to pay this amount with your last payment method" I reply and it says thank for the payment!
Verizon doesn't even remember the security code or zip code on my debit card, and has 15 ridiculous confirmations after every entry, confirming that i has been confirmed that I just confirmed my billing security code. On to triple reconfirming my zip code. I have to be ready to get my wallet out in hand and pace around for 10 minutes every time I pay my bill, even though it's the same info I've used for years.
Autopay I don't trust because they made a mistake one time and I happened to notice it.
Sidenote that it took an hour to get to this point, past the two factor authentication problems many many times, that kept sending me to the mobile app, which never asked it I would allow anything. I had to research help on that first, clear my cache and change all my passwords just to get here to post this. Then I typed my message and it got lost (!) after clicking send because verizon has a separate forum login than the account login that I spent an hour hacking into.
But why is it so painful to make a payment? Am I missing something?
thanks
