My husband's line has a $2.99 charge for an alleged call made at 2:04 p.m. on Sept. 9, 2024. He was on a video conference call at that time and would not have been able to make that call. Nor have either of us EVER used a 411 search service...EVER. I called customer no-service and all she did was read the bill to me and tell me that a call was made. Thanks, captain obvious. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, she snarkly told me that I could but they'd just tell me the same thing. Let's just imagine that we did make the call but honestly didn't realize or remember. For 2.99, I'd expect the company to credit my account and make a notation that this is an isolated event, explain that although a call was made, they would like to keep their customers satisfied. Good customer service would understand that it's not worth arguing with a customer about and if it continued to be an issue, then they could take a different course of action. But now, I am left irritated with this company...over two dollars and ninety nine cents.
