A true nightmare to cancel service with Verizon!!!!!

I called Verizon to cancel my Fios internet service, an agent confirmed that by November 2, 5 days before the billing period, my service would be canceled and I would not have to pay for the month of service. Did I receive an email telling me that they had upgraded my service and that I would now have to pay $100 per month? I called again telling them that I wanted them to cancel my service and that I didn't want an upgrade, I WANT TO CANCEL !!!!!! and an agent told me that the cancellation was scheduled for day 2 and that I would not have to pay for a service that I am not going to use. Now, days later, I get a letter from Verizon asking me to PAY FOR THE SERVICE. Verizon charges in advance, my billing month starts on the 7th of every month, but they always charge me 10 days in advance through my credit card. I was told that if I cancel 5 days before the billing day, I will not have to pay for the month that I will not use. What kind of deception are we facing??? Who lies? Does Verizon force its agents to lie and cheat their customers for a commission? Why do I have to pay a full month if I did the process according to the regulations as requested??????

After months of affirming that someone would contact me and explain to me (with lies) why they are charging me for a service that I canceled in the stipulated time for them, but it never happened, no one contacted me by any means. The only thing I receive are invoices for a service that I CANCELED ON TIME !!!!!!!!
