I have been with Verizon for over 5 years at this point. It started out great! My bill for 4 lines was very well priced. My subscriptions were great. But the last year has been terrible. I've bought 8 phones total using their payment plans. In the last year my bill has almost tripled. I kept trying to keep things going. Occaisionally I get behind, and they offer you a chance to split the bill up to make it easier to pay, but they dont tell you that there's a charge for that. Anyways, it all comes down to yesterday. I am behind on my bill. I can happily admit that. It's almost $500.00. So I tried to contact verizon to ask them to keep my service on until friday when I get paid. We all know how that went. I owe them money so there is no possible way for me to speak with a live person. The message just sends me a link to pay my bill and then hangs up on me, no matter what number I call associated with Verizon. So I tried the chat on the website. Seemed to go great. The person was prompt, and helped me out quickly. I made sure to ask twice that my service would remain on until friday, to which she responded that it would and she was positive of that. No doubts I wouldnt be losing my service. This morning, while I was in the middle of a meeting, guess what? Service is shut off. So Im done. Im going to T-Mobile or Mint, anywhere but here. Verizon is crooked. They got so big that they don't give a care about any of their customers anymore. They lie to you just to get out of talking to you. I was blatently lied to by a verizon agent yesterday and today all they can tell me is pay my bill.
