Bill increased/billing error

My bill increased $836. The bill stated that it is from my calling plan. I called customer service and was told it was a billing error on their end. I was told that a promise to pay would need to be set up and was assured that this was not for me to have to pay.  I got a notification that it was set up. I told them that I did not want that and to remove it and that I wanted my bill corrected. They said it would take time to do this. They assured me the promise to pay was removed and autopay as well.  I am to only pay my portion of the bill.  I don't understand why they would set up a promise to pay on their billing error and why they won't correct my bill.

This is scary. I have mysterious and hidden charges all the sudden that the new over seas customer services reps just keep playing literally the same script. But nothing like this amount

I am beyond frustrated with Verizon. I simply wanted to get two new iPhones . I have spoken with at least 7 representatives and each has a different view on what is happening. I’ve spent at least 16 hours of my life on the phone trying to understand what Verizon is doing. It should be SIMPLE to trade in phones and get new ones. I’ve been bounced around to different plans and promotions in just a month. My new bill for 2 phone lines is over $360!!! It used to be a mere $180 (still high). I call and call and NOTHING is resolved. HELP - who can fix this mess????
