On 11/02 I went into a Verizon store and got a 5g wireless router for a free trial to see if I could work from home with it. After about two weeks of testing I found the upload speeds were too slow for what I needed, so on 11/22 I went into a store to return it and cancelled my account. The tech I talked to made a call and assured me the account was cancelled and I also received an email. I have since gotten the UPS box, label, and have returned the router at a designated UPS location.
I didn't realize it until I got three voicemails today, but I was billed.
For the free 30 trial, of which I used 20 days, I received a bill for $80 with a reduction of $24.
Why am I being billed $56 for using 2/3rds of the free trial?

Additionally, the website is saying the following, which also makes no sense. This bill I was told I wouldn't have, due in 4 days, is overdue...

The only free trial I've ever seen Verizon offering is the 30 day trial of phone service. Sure hope that wasn't an attempt by someone to make commission. You were billed for a partial month of service. I'd keep track of the shipping details on the equipment return, because sometimes things get lost in the shuffle somehow and then you get billed for "non returned equipment".
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Ahh, that may be it, then.
The guy at the store that called in said since I hadn't hit the billing cycle, yet, I wouldn't be billed due to the 30 day money back guarantee. Though now it looks like I'll have to wait until they get my equipment, then just get my money back.

How do I make a claim for a refund for monthly charges for an ipad that I didn't want? When I purchased an iphone 15+ at my local Verizon store, the sales person said I automatically get an Apple ipad 10.2. I said I didn't want an ipad. I'm an older woman who barely knows how to work a phone or computer. The sales person said "But it's free and you may want to give it to your kid or something." So I took the ipad. After a couple months I noticed that I was being charged $104.47 per month. I looked at my account online and saw it was to provide wifi for the ipad -- which I never even took out of the box! I took it back to the store and the manager told me it was too late to return it. He also told me 1) we donโt have a manager at this store; and 2) we told you that you would have to pay for internet service for the ipad. When I said I wasnโt told any such thing, he said yes you were because thatโs how we do things here and you should learn to read the small print on the invoice. He told me he couldnโt help me. Do I have any recourse other than to keep paying $104.47 forever? I want to return the ipad (in pristine condition) and I want a refund for all those months of internet for the ipad that I did not use. Will Verizon make this right? Who should I talk to?
