I want to sign up for autopayment with a canadian credit card. It won't go through because it is asking for a USA zip code. I have spent hours on «live chat» and phones with representatives. It always end up in some AI or representatives (even supervisors) directing me to the page to sign up for autopayment, without understanding my problem.

Sounds good, thanks. You can add payment methods to your account via My Verizon here: https://bit.ly/3Zz1pCf. Does that work for you?
-Lauren
Moderator: My Verizon should accept an alpha-numeric credit card when you are adding a card to your wallet. Here are some steps on that My Verizon app - Pay Bill / Manage Bill Settings. To qualify for the Auto Pay discount, you must set up paper-free billing and the Auto Pay must be set up with a bank account or specifically the Verizon Visa Card, which is issued by Synchrony bank.

Hello, Canadian-in-VT, sorry to hear you're running into an issue with Auto Pay! As far as your credit card, is it associated with an address that has an aphanumeric zip/postal code? If so, is that code 9 digits or less? Have you attempted to add the card to your wallet?

Yes, our Canadian postal codes are alphanumeric, and have 6 digits. Verizon seems to accept only USA zip codes to sign up for autopay, so I can't complete the signing up with my Canadian credit card. I don't know what you mean by adding the card to my wallet (?).

Why are you directing me to the link to sign up a payment method? I am explaining you that I can't fill that form because it is asking for a USA zip code? Do you understand my problem: this page doesn't accept my canadian postal code that is associated with my canadian credit card. You are not helping.

In order to add a non-US card, it must first be added to your wallet.

I can't add it to my wallet on my verizon account because it doesn't accept the canadian postal code !!! The page for adding a new payment method DOES NOT ACCEPT a credit card that has a Canadian postal code. You are not helping so far. In the box that is asking for BILLING ZIP CODE, I just can't type my canadian postal code: it doesn't accept it and always send an error message. Do you understand?

Canadian-in-VT, we understand your concern, please understand it was not specified that you had attempted to add the card to your wallet. Do you have a balance due on your account at this time? Have you used this card to make a payment in the past?

I don't have a balance due on my account.
I have never used this card to make a payment. I want to add this card to my wallet. That is the card I want to use as a method of payment. My account is new, from today. I am setting it up.
I want to add this card (to my wallet) and the box for BILLING ZIP CODE does not accept my Canadian postal code when I type it. It won't allow a zip code that is not in USA 5 digits numerical.
I can't complete the operation of adding this card (which has a Canadian billing address and therefore a Canadian postal code), because this BILLING ZIP CODE box does not accept a postal code in the Canadian form (alphanumerical, 6 digits) and therefore, it results in error message each time.
Do you have a solution? I must certainly not be your first Canadian customer.

Just an FYI, if you use a credit card which is not Verizon Visa to pay your bill, you won't qualify for the autopay discount. The only other methods which qualify for the discount are to have an ACH transaction done directly from your bank account, or maybe to use a debit card linked to a bank account (things have been changing in general with how US mobile carriers are awarding an autopay discount), but I'm assuming you could run into the same problem with the Canadian postal code causing an error if you try to enter a non-US debit card.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
