Cash only status

Verizon’s is limiting my 3 lines to a cash only status. If no one replies to this or removes that status I promise you I’m cancelling my 3 lines and eating the whole cost of any device payment plan or pro rated fees just to switch to AT&T cause this is absolutely disrespectful. So it’s your move Verizon. I already cancelled a line last week and have no problem switching carriers unless my restriction is moved NOW!

Can someone also contact me?! I was only put on cash restriction at the fault of Verizon. They wouldn’t accept my bank! I had the funds! After 10+ hours on the phone their resolution was online via Western Union. That was a lie. Verizon isn’t even listed on their app. I just had someone attempt to lay in store for me with a DEBIT card & was told no. I’ll also eat the cost & due in small claims court because of all the lies I have recorded! I’ve never struggled for a company to take money from me!

Active duty military and have been a Verizon customer for several years with the exception of one year while I was deployed and used a carrier that offered coverage for where I would be stationed.   Excellent payment history until July, when I had fraud issues with my bank account.   This caused a returned payment, losing autopay discount, and the cash only payment restriction.  All of this has rasied my payment and the restriction will not expire until January 2025, for a grand total of $350.  I spent several hours both on the phone and in a store hoping for a resolution, but I was transfered and put on hold and decided to give up for the day.  It is extremely insulting to hear your customer service agents repeat everything I say to them time and again.  Followed by "I am sorry, I am unable to lift the hold." 

Somebody at Verizon placed the hold.  Somebody at Verizon should be able to lift the hold.  I am baffled that this is how Verizon would choose to penalize a customer.   I absolutely understand a penalty or small fee, but a penalty so egregious at the risk of losing a customer?????   Help it make sense , Verizon.  And most of all, remove the penalty and reinstate my auto pay discount.

 Need help with my account and am ready to switch to att bc I was put in cash only and was told them when else workers y’all had a promo going on right now and I needed to add a line for my daughter and buy a new phone so they said I could go to the store which they sent me an appointment up for an Arkadelphia Arkansas and when I get there and go buy the other one was actually gonna do two lines and get the smart watch also but anyways I was gonna add another line and my account was locked in the rep called you guys. We said I spent 2 1/2 hours the first day there on the phone. We try to get it figured out and they kept saying that they couldn’t do anything about it the financial people did. But the next day, I also spent all day on the phone. These are my two days off for the week and the whole time I was off. I was on the phone trying to get my account fixed so I could buy a phone add it to my account for my daughter. I was put on a cash only because my bank account got hacked by someone and I had to swap over to another bank and it messed everything up. I was not on a payment or anything. I got 1500 left in financials after this so I should be able to get the promo. Everyone else is getting Adaline by phone Adaline all you pay is for the line but I’m stuck with this one phone which has charges on it that I was lied to about also anyways please someone give me a call or message me [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]

I have also been put into restriction because of my bank account being ineligible??? confused because I pay my bills. I tried setting up auto pay and they denied it! I attempted to upgrade my phone but was told no because I don’t have “financing” for another month! If it doesn’t change soon, I will be switching carriers to someone who will actually help.

Hello! I’ve got this same problem going on right now as we speak! I’ve made a $420 payment and everytime I’m calling customer service they are not allowing me to set up a payment arrangement for my balance due to this CASH RESTRICTION! VERIZON IF YOU DONT REMOVE THIS RESTRICTION OFF MY SERVICE TODAY FOR MY BUSINESS PHONE! I will be cancelling my service with you guys! I NEVER HAD TO EXPERIENCE THIS TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! It is ridiculous if you don’t remove this cash restriction so the customer service team can set up my arrangement I will be CANCELING & reporting this service!

I am having the same issue. I am trying to open a line of service for my nephew and have a cash only status due to a issue with a charge being returned when Verizon charged my account when I canceled the payment prior to it being taken out. Now I am blamed for a mistake Verizon did and I am only been with them for two months and it highly unlikely I will stay unless I receive help or will take my concern to cooperate.

Amen. I switched 5 months ago from att to verizon and the first autopay declined putting me in a cash only status. I'm a grown adult with $10k in the bank. A steady job with the military. Credit score of 750+. This is bogus. Worst is the time I've WASTED on the phone and in store trying to fix what was not my fault.

Same here man. They put mine on restriction as well. I have the money to pay via credit card and they are refusing to turn off the cash restriction.

I had the same issue with the first payment on my new phone line. They will not remove the cash status on my account for 6 months.

Another issue that I have is the fact that I had to make payment within 2 1/2 weeks after getting my new phone, which I am on a fixed income and get paid once a month. I should have been worn or even told when my next payment was due.

The next month I went to a non corporate store and made a payment through them, and it was not posted until I raised cain with the store manager at the location because they did not pay it and I'm being punished for that! Very very dissatisfying as a Verizon Customer! 

Another issue just came to mind is the fact that they updated their terms of service and usage, and they are going to limit the amount of "Unlimited" if you go over the  pre-set limit. I will say I did not sign up for that!

Yeah I’m switching tomorrow for sure. I’m sick and haven’t been able to leave my house I have $ on my card to pay online yet you won’t let me. Out of principle plus your coverage. Making me pay cash in store that’s it for me.

verizon is going downhill. They make mistakes and then charge you to speak with a representative. Verizon has limited me to cash only due to their own mistakes. Going to take my mulitple lines and internet to another company. Shame Shame Shame after over a decade.

Hello, lasgiles. Help is here as we would never want to lose your business. When a cash only status is listed on any account, it is typically due to failed/returned payments on a customer's end. May I ask, were there any failed or returned payments? Have you spoken with our Financial Services department for a reason on why this status was placed on the account? If not, you can reach them directly by dialing *611 directly from your Verizon phone or 866-266-1445 from any phone.

I'm on cash only as well I just switched to Verizon and this was my first bill. When I bought my service they sent me up on auto pay without my knowledge when I gave my CC to pay for my order. And if that wasn't bad enough they scheduled the payment to be taken out 5 days prior to my bill even due. I live check to check I'm sorry. I don't have overdraft protection because of fees. I was litterly 5.00 short in my account to pay it but not the issue why was it scheduled to be paid 5 days before it was even due and without asking me permission and neither did they have to setup auto pay. I had to setup a payment extension because being cash only I have to drive 45 mins each way to a payment place I live way out of town. I want and need this off my account because I pay everything with my checking account and I setup auto pay myself correctly and I've never had this problem ever in my 51 years. If it's not taken off before the arrangement is due u can have the service and send me a box to return this phone along with my reembersment check for the down payment that I put on the phone. It sounds like this is a regular occurrence done to hard working ppl that live check to check or not even that that just don't have time to deal with this ridiculous way that you guys even attempt at customer service. You can send me a message but I'll say now I'm not going back and forth with you guys and spending hours on the phone just to get the same speak over so either remove it or loss it

Yeah someone needs to take my cash restriction off now. I’ve had auto payment deducted each month including last month and all the sudden I’m cash only? I work 2 jobs from 8am-10/11pm Mon-Sat I don’t have time to go to a store and pay cash. I’ll switch back to AT&T if I have to. This is ridiculous.
