Changing from iPhone to Samsung while still receiving trade-in credits

Hello,

I am receiving conflicting information so would like to confirm regarding changing phones and keep receiving trade-in credits.
I recently got iPhone 15 pro max with payment plan of $33.33 monthly and getting trade-in credits of $27.77 every month for 36 months. I want to keep my existing line(phone number) and have no plan to add a new line.

My question is –
1. I want to get Samsung S24 plus and I have old Samsung S21 phone so can I upgrade and get Samsung S24 plus by trading old Samsung S21 and keep receiving credits?
2. The other simple option I am thinking buying unlocked Samsung S24 plus from Samsung.com and simply swap with my existing iPhone 15 pro max. Will I keep getting credit of $27.77? Please confirm? The only thing is iPhone has esim but for Samsung I need physical sim. How will this work?
3. Any other option where I can get Samsung as I don’t like iPhone?
4. The iPhone i got from Verizon is unlocked or is tied to Verizon?

Thank you for reaching out. We want to clear up any concerns you may have. If you any sort of trade in credits on the account. You need to keep the same device and number on the line, and finish the device payments in full. Otherwise, the credits will drop.

Not sure if you read my complete post or gave any thought before answering.

Just now the agent on chat said to me i can go with option2# meaning i can buy a new Samsung phone from samsung.com by paying in full and get a physical sim with the same number since Samsung require physical sim and swap with IPhone and will continue to get the credits. The only thing is i just cant cancel the line or change plan.

Also, i found the similar question asked by someone and here the response is different then what you said.

We certainly want to clear up any confusion that you may have and ensure that you are able to have the device that you are looking for. In most cases, changing the active device on a mobile line will not remove the active promotion. As long as the device payment remains active and any other requirements of the promotion are still met (i.e. some promotions have plan requirements) then it would not impact your device promotion if you were to change what device is active on the line of service.
