I signed up for a 30-day free trial for 5G Home Plus. I returned the equipment within 30 days and have my receipt for the returned equipment, which indicates the transaction type as "Refund."
Six months later, I have a hit to my credit report indicating Verizon has sent my account to collections. Collections can't tell me why Verizon is charging me. They have given me two excuses by two different collection reps: 1) Usage Fees or 2) Service Fees.
What Fees are associated with a Free trial, and when the equipment is returned within 30 days? I feel that I should not have been charged anything. I was told by a sales rep (and written down by the sales rep) that there are no activation fees and no restock fees, so I don't think those are the fees.
Does anyone have insight into what I did wrong on my end and what charges I should expect from a 30-day free trial?
