Today is Tuesday after the Saturday I spent over an hour with customer service to place an order to receive a promotional item because the app was charging me for the free item. It still has not shipped. They are still collecting our payments but they aren’t easily available to assist you in any way. Chat support takes an hour for any little issue. Phone support is worse. Store reps aren’t allowed to do anything besides refer you to the 800 number. It’s so funny how the service reps go way overboard with the “Today is a wonderful day and we are over joyed to assist you in any way. Anthing to satisfy our best customers.“ babble then put you on hold for 15 to 20 minutes to come back and request information that is on the account, like address, then make you wait again for another request for information such as confirming the phone line you are calling about. Then again to confirm the reason of the call. When people become fed up with your customer service, they will go elsewhere. This will affect your bottom line. It may not be an immediate loss, but give it time on the current path and you will have a mass exodus on your hands. As a service business, you have to provide CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE SALE. That should be the LAST area of business you cut to increase profits.
