Debt sent to collections

I just filed with bbb and fcc. Verizon has sent a debt to collections that i don't owe and won't fix it. I had gone into a best buy to switch to verizon and get new phones.  After going through the whole process and sitting there for hours, unfortunately they weren't able to port my husband's number and we have to keep it, it's tied to his small business. That meant we had to cancel the entire process and we left empty handed, and still with boost. Now we're applying for a new home loan and see that verizon had reported a debt to me for over 1k, and my husband for 85 dollars....I called all the numbers they asked me to. I filed with transunion.  They denied me at every turn and told me to set up a payment plan. A PAYMENT PLAN for a debt I don't owe! Never again with verizon and I think people need to know.
