I got into a bad car accident and my phone was totaled, I did not have a phone at all. I went into the North Lake store and the person that was working at the store said that I would have to call Verizon Wireless via phone. So after speaking with another associate, they used the landline to call the 1800 and they sent me a new phone for free (I would like to add that the phone had been paid off now for about 2yrs, because I dislike having to finance a cell phone).
Well, today I received a bill for $1,500, and I looked over my bill and I could not find where, or how I had a bill this high. After, trying several numbers, and being a disabled person with a cognitive disability I finally got someone via the call back feature. The person stated that I was charged for the device I was supposed to receive for free and the chargers were from October, but that just appeared on my bill January 2024 I finally got an hold of a supervisor about 2 hours into the call. Her name Addy and she told me that I had to pay for a phone, I told her that I could send her this same phone back, because I could not afford $1,500 and she said that I could not give them the phone back, that she could not take the chargers off my account, that I would need to go back to the store and speak with the manager. I went back to the store, and they told me they could not help me and that I would need to call customer service. This is super frustrating!!! I have been with Verizon Wireless since 2004 and I have never had any issues. I am not even sure who I would need to talk too or were I would even start with these issues, and no one in the store or at the customer service center know how to help me. I feel like I have been taken.
