I have a problem with high charges from May 2022 when we went to cruise for 7 days and we connected international $10 plan for 2 lines. For the next month we got a $700 bill. So no one connected this international plan. We disputes those charges only in December 2022 after long waiting calls for 6 month. But this was not the end . We went to Dubai in January 2023 and we also called prior to make sure we have international plan. But again, high bill. Today is January 2024 and Iโm still get every month balance forward to every my bill, cause Iโm not agree to pay what Iโm not supposed to pay. For 2 lines they charge me $400 every month with all their fee and balance forward. On October 2023 my husband got refurbished iPhone through their replacement insurance, and this phone came with wrong VPN as we figured out it later, so again we went to travel for 15 days and called prior to make sure we have international plan, by the next month we got $600 bill. As I mentioned we got a phone with wrong VPN and was unable to use it overseas and connect to local WiFi. No messages , no data. But from nowhere they billed us for this phone $450 for international charges . I called 2 month from than and tried to figure out how it possible but every time different answer or they just donโt know what to do. But they know how to bill account. Poor customer service. Now I have outstanding balance of $979 and Iโm not going to pay it anymore if they not be able to resolve this issue by the end of this month. I have my husbands phone paid off and mine only $600 balance for iPhone pro 15 . So Iโm better to come and throw this phone in a garbage in their store next time a go there to see a representative than pay this balance from nowhere. And buy a new unlocked phone and new SIM card with a different provider

Same happened here. Went to Dubai on international plan for 2 weeks. You have to make sure to cancel on return it they just keep billing and billing by the month. Thieves. I'm paying off and throwing in garbage too.

I can't speak for the international plan constantly renewing itself and charging users $100 every month per line even when someone tries to cancel it, but will tell you that the international service only covers mobile lines overseas. If you call a landline (POTS or VoIP), that is not covered and you have to pay the full charge of whatever that international call is.
If you travel to a certain overseas area regularly, you would be better off buying a budget phone and service plan from a local carrier in that area to use.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
