Hello I recently saw that Verizon had a student discount promotion. I decided that I would register for it now that I’m in grad school. I saw that I would be saving more money but now I saw that I’m actually being charged more because I lost my monthly $20 loyalty discount. I chatted with a rep but they were not helpful at all. I just need my $20 loyalty discount reinstated l would have never registered the student discount if I had known.

Hello, DXC322. Thanks so much for reaching out. As a consumer myself, I know the importance of saving money wherever you can. The Student discount cannot be combined with the $20 Loyalty discount hence why it was removed once you added the Student discount. We cannot guarantee the $20 Loyalty discount can be added back, but we can check. I have sent you a Private Message.

You won' t get it back. Verizon seems to be using these First Responder, Educator, Military, and Student discounts to remove existing loyalty or other higher discounts and replaced with these less valuable ones.
