I have been with Verizon almost 10 years. Never missed a payment because it's on auto pay. I received a letter stating I may have multiple discounts available to me because I work in a school system. Called and was told I qualify for a teacher discount of $25 a month. I asked if i signed up, what would my new bill be? The CSR stated my new bill was going to be around $106-109 a month. When I got my new bill, it went UP $40! Apparently they did not tell me my loyalty discount (which I've had for years!) would be removed! The CSR I talked to lied and said it wouldn't. I have called 3 times and spoke to six different people (supposedly a supervisor), wasted 3 hours of my Saturday, just to be told I'm sorry theres nothingthey can do until my teacher discount expires in a year! No, they are NOT sorry! They lied and mislead me and now my bill will be $15 more a month than I've been paying! There ought to be a law against this kind of greed and manipulation! Someone was supposed to call me but it's been 2 weeks and I have yet to hear from someone!

Hello, MsSmoke. Help is here as we want you to be our customer for a lifetime. Saving on the monthly bill is always a good thing. We can check on the discount in question. I have sent you a Private Message.

A very similar thing happened to me last year and I was ultimately unsuccessful in getting back the original $40 discount even though I had screenshots to prove the agent mislead me. By the time I realized they weren't going to fix it, there was no way to move back to my old grandfathered plan with the lower price monthly bill.
I'm completely done with them and planning to switch to T-mobile because I am still so angry about how I was treated. I have just been waiting for my oldest kid to turn 13 and be ready for a phone so I can do the Buy 2 lines get 1 free promo for new customers at T-mobile. I'm counting the days!

I'm dealing with the same issue. I had the $40.00 loyalty discount since December 2022. Added a teacher discount as well assuming we would get both, because you know, who doesn't support teachers? They removed our $40.00 loyalty discount and only applied the $25.00 teacher discount. I requested, if only one is available, then switch it back to the loyalty discount. They refused. Not to mention I got brushed out by 3 different agents before the 4th one finally helped me. Strongly considering leaving Verizon after 13 years. I'm really upset with how they're handling this...
