No customer service if phone is disconnected. Please help.

I payed 55$ a couple of days ago either on the 31st or the 1st of the year. There was a payment arrangement for 143$ and some cents. Then the remaining balance of 255$ wasn't due until January the 5th. There was no notice in regards to this, we discovered it when our phones were randomly turned off and now they're saying we owe a 40$ fee. We can't get a hold of ANYONE to get this fixed. It says we need to pay before we can even contact someone, so my only question is how are we supposed to get this fixed when we can't even get ahold of anyone?
