On my Verizon app I saw a deal telling me that a nurse can receive discounts on their phone bill. So me being a nurse, I followed the instructions and signed up on the id.me then added the discount to my account. Little did I know that this discount would remove my $35 mobile + internet discount! My phone bill was regularly around $35 each month but has jumped to $70 next month then at a rate of $55 regularly after that. This means that I’m paying more on my phone bill when I signed up for the nurses discount thinking I’d be saving money, not spending more money. I chatted with a Verizon rep and they told me that discounts can’t be stacked. That is fine, but what isn’t fine is that I was told the change is irreversible because the mobile + home discount is no longer active. How can a change become so instant that I can’t even go back to the amount I was already paying and the discount I already was receiving. Is this even legal to allow for a discount to be removed and replaced with a discount that makes you pay more. That’s not even a discount. All I’m asking for is that my account return back to the same and that I not get punished over a mistake that shouldn’t have been approved so instantly in the first place.
