Despite being a significantly more expensive than my previous device provider I switched to Verizon because I’d heard that they had amazing service as well as customer service. To my dismay I’m realizing that paying a premium price for sub par service and customer service is starting to set me back. I always pay my bill but have run into financial hardship over the past few months. Initially it was pretty easy to reach support and to get assistance but somewhere that seems to have changed and it’s just as difficult to get through to customer service as any of the other more budget friendly phone providers that I’ve been with. Today I made a payment after attempting to also push out my existing payment arrangement. My service was disconnected for non payment and then allowed me to then move the payment arrangement but my phone is still off. I need my phone to work and have literally been trying to get through to an agent for over an hour with no luck. At this point I could have just kept the money if the service was going to be interrupted once I made the payment either way. Didn’t want to switch but will have to start looking for more flexible and affordable options.
