Order never processed and won't cancel

I ordered a new phone in the middle of February and it never shipped. The website says it's ready to ship but it must have gotten lost after it had been prepared for shipping. Have called and texted and opened multiple tickets asking for it to be canceled and eventually I've had a couple people say that it would be all set in a couple days. I also went into the Verizon store in my area and ask them to help me cancel it and then I could just buy one in the store. They also have called twice and have been told the cancel would go through. To date, however, the order is still not canceled but of course the phone has not shipped.

I can't order a new phone on the off chance of my phone ever comes but at the same time they can't just sit around when I have no idea what's going on.

 

Any magic formula to cancel the order?
