Payment request

I’ve been with Verizon for over 20 years. Never been late on my payment. Always on time. Today, I got an email from my bank saying “You have a new payment request from Verizon”. And it’s for the bill that’s due on 1/1/24! Has this happened to anyone else?

That is alarming especially anytime requests are made that deal with our financial institutions. I would be cautious too! Were you able to check the actual email of the sender or contact your bank to verify accuracy of the notification.Please share any additional details. We can work with you to ensure the validity of the request.
