Phone upgrade

I was wondering if Verizon ever offers an upgrade without having to be locked in for 36 months ? I would love to upgrade and stay with Verizon but I don't want to be locked into any plan for that long just in case anything were to happen .. I'm not planning on leaving but life thrown curveballs . And if something were to happen at all like job loss or Verizon starts  not having the best service or whatever I just won't like being locked into any services . Thanks

You can always purchase a phone without the device payments or paying for the phone upfront at any time! With our phone promotions, those do apply to the device payment option which spreads both the payment and promotion over 36 months. Keep in mind this is not a contact and you are able to pay off the phone at any time within that 36 months as well!

If you are looking for a promotion where you get monthly credits applied to your bill over a period of time which cover the cost of the phone, then no.  There's financing a phone over a period of time (similar to buying some other expensive item), which I think you could do either via Verizon or directly from the manufacturer.
