Yeaaaah, I’m not happy with the rate increase.
there really was no reason given for it from Verizon.  If you’re raising my plan prices, offer more incentives.

time to start searching for a new cell phone provider.
anyone have any suggestions?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but legacy plan customers had perks included in their package, while current plan customers pay for service only on their plan pricing and any perks are additional to that cost.  So even if you're paying what looks like "current" pricing, you're still getting a better deal than people signing up for the current plans?

From looking at the pricing at the competition, all the big carriers charge within the same pricing range.  There is not a huge disparity.  Yes, there are numerous budget carriers out there offering service at cut rate prices, but all the budget carriers are piggybacking off one or more of the "Big 3" networks and because they are simply renting space on someone else's network...the network's owner doesn't have to care about the budget carrier's customers that much.  Which means discount customers are going to get what they pay for.  The carrier named for a kind of candy may be an exception as they consistently get great ratings, but I'm pretty sure they also got bought out last year by T-Mobile.

Just sign a contract with Verizon 6 month ago, and they want to increase price for the next 2.5 years contract. feel deeply cheated, they were saying the contract "subject to change", but they never lower their bill... time to pay off the contract and move on , a lot of cheaper options are available
