I was promised $1300 in rebates from a corporate store. I was told I would receive them by email, but it would take 4 weeks.
About four weeks later, I received an email saying the rewards were almost ready, and I could check their status by clicking a link. It was a dead link.
I then visited the store, but they said they couldn’t help. Instead, they gave me a phone number to call. I called the number, and it was disconnected.
I went back to the store, and they said the rebate would come through in another 2 weeks. It didn’t.
I then called customer service, and they said the rebates were emailed on January 7 (5 weeks earlier). No such emails were received, and they weren’t in my spam filter either. I told customer service this, and they informed me that the rebates would be emailed in 24-72 hours. Didn’t happen.
I called back, and they told me it was escalated, and I would receive a call back the next day at 10 am. I received 3 text messages confirming the call. I was never called. There was no explanation or apology.
I then texted back, and they said I would be called in within a day. That didn’t happen either.
i then texted back, and I was told I would be called back in 20-30 minutes. Over an hour later, no call.
In the meantime, I am texting customer service, and they keep putting me off, then finally they tell me that the call center is unavailable, and I will receive a call tomorrow.
Throughout this process, I have been assured orally and in writing that I am owed $1300. I have spent over 10 hours trying to get what I am due.
This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
