My bill is outrageous and I don't even have phones that are good or my children on the same plan.
Customer service states there's nothing that can be done about sales people in Verizon stores.
A few months ago I became a Verizon customer. I asked the sales people to show me the actual total of my future bills including any taxes or fees, they said they don't have any hidden fees. The total for 4 lines would be 2 lines at $30 2 lines at $45 and screen insurance on 2 phones for $8 was for a total of $168 we can even say $170 for the change. My bill was almost $200. So much for the "this will be your actual bill speech they gave me at the Verizon store. They told me that we could get promotional phones for a promotion and they would be discounted to only $100 and change at $2 per month . The sales people said we could also pay them off early if we chose to, turns out that's completely false and I would be stuck paying not only the cost of the phones at the $100 and change prices but over $600 each for some trashy Motorolas. The sales people also said my son and daughters phones could be brought over and we're compatible. After payment we attempted to activate my son's phone it wasn't compatible so we bought a different unlocked phone they stated was compatible it wasn't. After trying for 2 months to find a child acceptable phone (nothing fancy he's 10) I ended up having to switch him to straight talk. My daughter broke her phone and the so called compatible phone I bought to replace it was also ..you guessed it not compatible. Again had to switch her to straight talk. I ended up having to remove them from my plan even though I wanted them to have Verizon service because all the phones I was told would be compatible weren't. Worse I was charge activation fees and monthly bills for the phone that was never used...for a total of 4 months. After removing them I was told my bill would drop by $60 but again after all the fees it's almost more expensive than having the additional lines (that I can't use) and I now have to pay 2 separate companies. I reached out to customer service about crediting the unused phone line and they have yet to reimburse me.
I regret ever switching to Verizon. I would have happily paid the suggested bill I was originally quoted I would have happily had my whole family on the plan.
This is a nightmare and I can't wait until I no longer have this service and will warm anyone against it.
I'm so disappointed, I was so excited to switch to Verizon

I feel your pain I have been a Verizon customer for so long when my phone quit working eventually and I replaced it I had to change plans because Verizon was charging me more just to maintain my original plan so I did. As soon as my devices are paid off I am walking away from them. Over 8 years and all I have seen are increases in my bill customer loyalty rewards of any kind simply do not exist but I understand nothing is free and Verizon is a for profit business. I originally went with Verizon because of signal reliability now I even keep getting notices from them the 5 G in my area is under renovation and the 5 G level of service has become LTE until update to equipment in my area is finished. I have gone from four bars to two on a daily basis now. So as soon as I can I am walking away from their overpriced and minuscule service program company.
