Trade-In Revoked Months Later

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with Verizon?

Got a couple of emails today, 3/1/24, telling me that the trade-in I completed and had confirmed back in October 2023 is essentially being revoked. An $800 credit down to $25. The reason listed is that my old device got to them late, even though I got confirmation emails in October that the device was received and that my trade-in for $800 had been reviewed and accepted. The shipping was pre-paid, and I have not been contacted once in the last 5 months and told there was an issue with the arrival date.

Looking at my next bill estimate, they have not only removed the credit but are BACK CHARGING me for the last few months' credits.

I called support and was told they are escalating the case, but do I have any other options if they try and come back with a "sorry, nothing we can do about it"?

At that point I'd want my old phone back, even if I have to ship this one back with a fee. I can't afford my next bill.
