I'm complaining with a pressing issue that's causing me significant frustration. I recently upgraded my phone and traded in my old device, which still had a balance of $323. According to the promotion, I expected to receive a credit towards my next bill. However, when I reviewed my current bill, I was surprised to see a charge of $500, which seems excessively high for a single user. After sending in my phone to my nearest USPS, I got a confirmation email the very next day that my device was successfully retrieved. On Jan 20th, I received an email from Verizon. Quote

โA credit for the remaining payments of your previous device payment agreement will be applied on your next billing statement.โ |
I call Verizon and ask when this credit will be able and was told February. Now itโs March 16th. I am so confused why Iโm paying for my old phone and then getting a store credit for it. Iโve talked to numerous reps and none of them have been able to help me. One made me feel completely stupid, the second one basically told me I was SOS, and the third never responded to me after telling me I was supposed to return it within a certain time frame. I'm confused about the 30-day notice requirement. I received an email with a quote and a reminder text, but neither mentioned that I'd forfeit my credit if I didn't return the item by a specific date. Iโm extremely disappointed in Verizon. Iโm currently jobless and struggling financially, I cannot afford to pay off this phone whatsoever & how Iโm worried about my service being turned off. How are you going to bribe your clients with a credit just to say I have to pay my old phone off. I might as well have kept it and sold it for more $.
