Verizon stealing phones ?

Switched over from T-mobile and now completely regretting it.

switched my family back in early December. Was only going to switch the lines and keep the phones, but sales rep says “$1000 off w/trade in”

So I bite, I get the iPhone 16 for me and my wife. Should cover the entire cost of it and be basically paid off phones. …right?

yeah yeah…who knew too good to be true. I go and check my bill and what’s this…. I’m being charged for the phones!  I’m paying for roughly 50% of these phones…Odd?

I’ve reached out to useless customer service and apparently the only credit applied was a welcome credit of $469.

So clearly I wonder, did they just steal my phones ? What was the purpose of trading them in ? The customer service rep has failed to fix the issue and told me they are unable to do anything and to contact the store….No I’m not going down this rabbit hole. Done it before.

I will be filing any complaints I can, then I again will be dropping another carrier.

Hello SigNull. We want you to get the promotional value out of any trade in. To get the full $1000, the phone line needs to be on the correct plan. I'm sending a private note to you were we can discuss your account and see what we can do about this.
