Why doesn't Verizon Wireless prorate your bill when you stop service?

Verizon Wireless owes me $35.66 for the 14 days of Verizon Wireless Service I couldn't use.  I cancelled service on June 12, 16 days after the May billing. I did not use Verizon for 30 days, I used it for 16 days, which cost me $40.76 of the total billing of $76.42.

Resolution Update: By partnering with support, we confirmed the right details related to the billing when an account is disconnected. If you’ve disconnected/ended service with Verizon, your account will close and you’ll be billed till the end of your cycle.

For general questions related to ending service, you can consult this FAQ page: https://www.verizon.com/support/disconnect-cancel-mobile/

While we’re always saddened to see customers leave, if you need any assistance please contact us for support.

Were you on prepaid service?  If so, prepaid isn't prorated.
