I ported over five phones from another carrier after my Fios rep said "we can offer a better deal". This has been a nightmare ever since.
Lowlights:
Sales person did the deal on the phone on June 29 and had me pay for "taxes"
Phones arrived 7/3
Salesperson said on 6/29, "I will call you on 7/5, activate all the phones, set up your online profile with VZW, process your rebates" -- I haven't heard from him since
7/5 after not hearing from the guy that sold this terrible plan to me, I called and spent SIX HOURS trying to activate the phones. Supposedly it was all done
7/8 received a bill!!!! That takes gumption, nothing but problems and then they send you a bill
7/10 Found out my elderly parents phone on my account was never activated. Another 90 minutes trying to get that done. disgrace
7/11. I called about my reabtes that were part of the deal. No one can find them, no one can find out who the salesperson was I dealt with (I was transferred to him from a Fios rep and have an order number)
7/11 spoke to one girl who gave me the website www.vzw.com/rebate. I asked what do I need, she replied just the phone numbers. Went on the site, you need a promo code
7/11 called back again about the above and was told it will take 8+ weeks to get a promo code and redeem the rebates. I let them know I won't be paying a bill until I get the rebates (thats all I can do with them anyway).
All in all this has been a mess and I regret switching to VZW. Everyone lies, or don't have the training to give the customer solid, factual solutions. Or, when they get stuck, they just hang up on you (which happened five times).
It's astonishing. Already looking for another carrier to go to, can't get away from this mess VZW fast enough...and it hasn't been a a week!!!
