billing issue

I was charged for their billing cycle of march-april. My phone was not activated until may 1st. The issue is after already paying for the line when the order was placed i’m being charged a second time this month for the line service. I’m paying the activation fee on may 19th and being charged for the line service again on may 28th after already paying the service when placing the order. Meaning i was charged for a whole month of service not used.

Did you port in sometime in April? If so, having to pay for a full month in "month 1" no matter when you signed up in the month appears to be an industry practice. This happened to me elsewhere (was only with other guy for 4 days, but because I ported in December 30 and ported back out January 2, they billed me for 1 month and 2 days), which is why I think all the carriers do it.
There are also charges for line activation, device setup, and data transfers if you have a Verizon employee do those things. If you went to a 3rd party and not a corporate store to sign up, the 3rd party store could've assessed fees of their own not related to Verizon.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
