If your old iPad was still on your account with a line/number associated, it should show up in Account->My Devices->Device Overview. If not still on your account you might be able to get the model info you need from Apple Support if you can get/read the serial number from the back of the device. On my old iPad, the text on the back of the device is so small that I cannot read it even with a magnifying glass, but that is just me. Here is a link to check out:
