Calls to voice mail

When we try to answer our phone, most of the time the calls get sent to voice mail. I have it set to go to VM after 4 rings. It has sent the calls there when we try to pick up after 1 ring, 2 rings or even 3 rings. Doesn't do it all the time but seems to be doing it more and more. Have checked my account settings and there is nothing checked that would make it do that. Just wondering if others have had this happen before I try to call verizon to see if they can help.

Question: Are you using or have you implemented "Do Not Disturb"? The feature is not (to me) reliable.

That was one of the things I made sure I had not checked....it is not turned on.
