Have tried for hours to activate this with no luck on my own or with chat. Have landline with FIOS. Just keep getting bounced to same pages over & over again and/or signing in again. Is it just not possible? On a Mac & tried on Safari & Firefox to no avail.

Is this the URL you tried? If you are still having the login bug on there, try clearning your browser's cache.
For Safari 8:
- From the Safari menu, select Clear History and Website Data....
- Select the desired time range, and then click Clear History.
- Go to Safari > Quit Safari or press Command-Q to exit the browser completely.
- Re-Open the browser and try again
