Noisey background on phone calls

I have a scratchy or sort of windy background noise on my phone for all my calls. Its as though the connection is not quite solid. Please help!

Sounds like interference. Try switching the phone to another channel or moving it away from the router (if you have one). What type of phone is it, frequency-wise?

I've got no dialtone. Yesterday I had extreme static with a dialtone under, but the service worked. I've checked all extension in house and with neighbors with Frontier service and their service is fine. Any ideas? Also, have already tried two chat extensions, one referred to another that is not in service. I can go to a phone and call, but wanted to check on user messages for suggestions before I did so. Thanks,
