Hi All, In the past month i've also had trouble getting my number ported from vonage to verizon. First, I was told by a verizon rep that i needed to cancel my account with vonage which is WRONG, and seems to be a constant response as per the other posts that I've viewed. Than I go and cancel, and call back in and told that I need to have the account active. So I go back to Vonage re-activate my account, and ever since that I've have 3 CSR on the phone where i've given my info and they still have not been able to port the number. The last CSR person wasn't paying attention to detalis and entered the number wrong. Luckily, i stopped them from porting the wrong number. This has been a very frustrating experience which has led me to making arragenments to drop verizon completely and go elsewhere for internet and phone. Very dissappointing after being a Verizon customer since they were NJ Bell.
