I just ordered new Fios Bundle and am trying to port my landline phone number with Optimum to a Verizon landline. While the rep was trying to be more than helpful she said Verizon cannot do it because the number was originally a Verizon number and they cannot switch back. All the forum posts on this topic talk about once you file a complaint with the FCC, Verizon will port the number back for you. Is there any easier way to work with Verizon before i have to go to the trouble of filing an FCC complaint?
I checked the number under the Verizon WIRELESS port link and said it was available to port. Don't understand what the issue is trying to keep it as my landline under Fios. Any help would be appreciated.
